many inlets and coves to be explored on both sides of the river, each one appearing to be a fascinating world of its own … yet all remain part of the river. here’s one where a deer enjoys a freshly growing river salad stew at a seemingly all ya can eat buffet, quite the nutritional treat for sure … Jimi

i’d definitely say that you are well connected with your surroundings. i for one am not a hunter as when i was a teen i quickly found out that it wasn’t in my bloodstream. but yes, a little venison on some pizza would be good, though i like the thicker crust….*L*.

i would probably resort to hunting if it was an absolute necessity for survival and would rather do it without the use of a gun if possible … yes indeed, the thicker crust can be a much more satisfying meal when prepared properly for sure …:)

Nice pic here. Even though deer are treasured views for pics they are very lean for consumption. I’MHO

thanks Don, we do a bit of fishing up here but only hunt with cameras not guns. in the town closest to this wilderness, there is a combination bar, grill, baitshop, gas station, motel that serves up homemade pizza using venison as their sausage ingredient which is kind of unique … i’ll stick with my Chicago style deep dish or thin crust though as some may proclaim to be the best in the world but that may stir up a bit of controversy as well …:)

thanks Robyn, we passed by this magnificent wild one with our electric trolling motor on low … very quiet, very smooth … not seeming too disturbed but well aware, she continued to munch away … before and after snapping a few shots, we flashed her the peace sign as we glided onwards up river …:)

So cool. I’ve never seen a deer under water like this… the peace sign – perfect !!

yes Robyn, we cruise the river in peace … trying not to disturb the natural wild habitat so many call home, we are mere guests in their world … and we try and capture their way of life through the lens and maybe learn some things from them as well …:)
